Welcome to the Pittsburg-Camp County
Chamber of Commerce!

Located in the piney and hardwood forests of Northeast Texas, Pittsburg is a great place to live, work, open a business or just enjoy a weekend getaway!

Designated as an historic Main Street City in 1986, Pittsburg's charm is evident in its turn-of-the-century buildings, lovely historic homes and churches with awe-inspiring stained glass windows. Camp County has more than 25 historic markers within its boundaries. Along with its rich history, you can shop for antiques and gifts at the downtown shops; enjoy wonderful restaurants and bed & breakfasts. We also have unique museums, including a turn-of-the-century farmhouse with a general store and a depot museum, which features a replica of the famous Ezekiel Airship and a working telegraph station. Our beautiful Witness Park and Prayer Tower, is a must-see spot, featuring tranquil gardens, a gurgling fountain and life-sized bronze statue of Jesus washing the disciple Peter’s feet. A gift from Bo Pilgrim, the 75-tower features a chapel open 24 hours and four Paccard bells from France. If you love the outdoors, Pittsburg is close to two beautiful state parks and five lakes providing year-round recreational opportunities such as water sports and fishing.

Pittsburg is on U.S. Highway 271 and State Highway 11, 10 miles south of I-30 and 45 miles north of I-20, offering convenient driving routes to or from Longview, Tyler, Dallas-Fort Worth, Texarkana and Shreveport.

Pittsburg Downtown Farmer's Market

The Pittsburg Downtown Farmer’s Market is open for business just off Pittsburg's Historic Main Street! Join us every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (or 'til sellout). Sponsored by the Chamber and Pittsburg Main Street, the market is located on Tapp Street at Jefferson Street, next to the police department. We had more than two dozen local farmers in 2009 and we've expanded this year, opening the market to vendors selling canned and baked goods and specialty food products. The market will be open every Saturday through August 28. Be sure to stop by and while you're here, shop Main Street! Vendor space is free, but vendors must obtain a City of Pittsburg Peddler's Permit. The forms are available at the Pittsburg Polie Department. Vendors must also fill out a Farmer's Market application and return it to the Camp County Chamber of Commerce at 202 Jefferson Street.

Mayor's Cup Golf Tournament

The 2nd Annual Mayor's Cup Golf Tournament on May 20 was a great a success after the teams braved a more than one hour rain delay and a tornado warning! The sun came out and the teams teed off for 18 holes around 2:15 p.m. at Princedale Country Club. Rae's "Bailout" Motors won the bragging rights this year, unseating the 2009 winners Guaranty Bond Bank, who came in 2nd place with First National Bank Pittsburg claiming 3rd place.

The Pittsburg Camp County Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the teams and sponsors who helped to make this great tournament possible:

Pioneer Days

Pioneer Days was a huge success this year! Pioneer Days is a celebration of Pittsburg's rich heritage with vendor booths featuring handcrafted gifts, art, crafts and jewelry and more. We had mule-drawn and horse-drawn wagon rides that were a big hit with all ages! Plus, great live entertainment from the Northeast Texas Dulcimer Chorus and Senior Citizen's Pickin' & Grinnin. They performed on the porch and under the pavillion at The Farmstead, which offered free tours all day long. A big thanks to Boy Scout Troop 210 for their help and for organzing the old-fashioned games on the Farmstead lawn! We had 25 arts & crafts and food vendors this year and a great display of handmade quits at the First United Methodist Church Ministry Center. A huge thanks to our Pioneer Days sponsors this year:
